So in art class we were learning about day of the dead. and they wanted me to make a plaster mask but i could not do that because i didnt have the supplies so i decided to make a sugar skull charm

this charm is glow in the dark. and im just glad i could learn more about this holiday and the sugar skull art.

as wildflowers, paths like tiny winding veins
sprung alive between them. from my balcony i watch
the sun crest slowly into afternoon,

sage, gathering up anything with the taste
of what mystery inhabits the air—brimming over
